Indoor Water Feature
An indoor water feature can add a
soothing and calming touch to your home ...
I recently visited an establishment that prides itself on
atmosphere. The wonderful place was no disappointment.
Shakespeare’s is a fine dining restaurant located on a golf
course in western Pennsylvania. The building is constructed out
of large stones reminiscent of castles in Europe. Many of the
items were shipped from Europe including the massive doors that
stood over fifteen feet tall. The building is a
masterpiece.
No matter how many enchanting elements I saw only one really
stood out. The indoor water feature was placed in the waiting
area. Normally waiting to be seated is unbearable for those of
us who lack patience and imagination. The indoor water feature
was calming and soothing. The soft trickle of water was
mesmerizing and I could have waited a little longer just to
spend a little more time next to the delightful display.
The décor of the restaurant is medieval and the indoor water
feature suited the style. The water trickled out of a lion’s
mouth perched proudly above a catch of water in bronze. The
indoor water feature may seem extravagant but it actually could
work in just about any home.
Some people immediately picture water displays out of doors.
Gardens boast lovely fountains all over the country. Few take
the time to consider bringing an indoor water feature to the
home. The trend is slowly emerging, however. Some people use
small fountains that can be purchased as just about any home
improvement store. Others opt to create their own indoor water
feature themselves.
There are literally hundreds of design ideas for tabletop
fountains. This indoor water feature can be designed and
created by the homeowner who likes the idea of bringing some of
the outdoors inside. These tabletop fountains are simple in
nature. They consist of a pump, a container and a spout. The
rest is gingerbread.
You can find the pump at your local home improvement store
or your local aquarium shop. Many people are drawn to using
rocks and plants to decorate their tabletop fountain and the
results are rarely disappointing. Using natural elements is a
well, natural choice for this project. With a little creativity
and some help from professional instruction your indoor water
feature will be complete.
You may not necessarily create an impressive lion head
tricking a soft, steady stream of water but you can create an
impressive indoor water feature that suits your home and that
is what truly matters.
